I just picked up a Springfield XD 40 SC the other day. It's a gem to carry even though it's a bit wider than my Kimber. Now I don't have to worry about that beaver tail grip digging into my side when I bend over. Also don't have to worry about getting the hammer back once it leaves the holster. Still love carry in the 1911 but this thing will probably be carried about as much. Still gotta get it to the range and break it in before relying on it but I doubt it will give me any problems. Has anyone got one that can give me some feedback?

I have a full sized XD-40 and it's a great gun. Never had one misfeed or jam or anything to malfunction on it, and it's very easy to shoot and accurate.

Of course, it also has a five inch barrel, as opposed to yours which is about 3 & 1/4?

I dont know about the .40, i would love to shoot one. I have a full size in .45 love it. Most accurate auto ive ever shot.

I have heard but dont know if its true, but supposely you can get a 9mm barrel for that, and the magazines and have 2guns in one. Suppose you would have to ask Sprinfield to make sure thou.

I heard that to and did talk to Springfield. They said not to do it. It could be because they want your money (buy a new gun) but I;m not taking any chances. I do hope they come out with a sub-compact .357 sig though. Those are completely interchangeable.

.357 Sig is one hot load! I watched a guy with a new GLock at the range shooting that. He said he paid $35 a box of 50, but damn, they were zinging down range!

Well....I know a guy who has a Glock .40 and you can convert to .357 sig with just a barrel change. You can also go to 9mm, with just a barrel AND magazine change!

Hmmmmm.....I'm thinking a Glock .40 would be a good one too own!!

And you can also get a .22 LR conversion too!! Very Happy

Here ya go Weldon .. Corny yes but still torture tested ..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpl0ZJkikNA&feature=PlayList&p=3CC03D78F65C21D0&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=13

Actually i dont care if people like Glocks .. Hell I would like to like the but with the end of my trigger finger gone I can not squeeze the trigger safetly mechanism so no glock no XD Crying or Very sad ... sooo Sig it is and I love mine. And I got the poly gun so it didnt cost .. well it was right there with the Glock Very Happy

Also I had read somewhere that Glocks torture test was actually from Sigs . Its just that Glock marketed there guns with the test. Sig kept quiet but this may be coming from some Sig fanatic that if you dont own a Sig you might as well own a watergun.

Honestly I dont think you can go wrong with Sig Glock H&K Springfield and of course the 1911's. Hell I went in and looked at a Bersa 380 the other day LOL .. The guy said it is getting great reviews. It was the double stack version .. 15 rounds Very Happy

I agree they're all good pistols. I got to shoot an H&K .45ACP a week ago at the range I was very impressed with it. It comes down to how many can you afford to own, or which you like best. Having the end of your trigger finger gone eliminates the Glocks and XDs!

How did you lose it, btw?

Axe when i was 18 ... complete accident invilving 3 people LOLOLOL

I cant still shoot with it as i qualified marksman with the M16 and the M9 while in the service and then I shoot my guns all the time. Just that damn trigger safety onthose guns ... I could use my middle finger like Grizz does but then my trigger finger at least I think it would ... will get in the way of the slide. I may try it this weekend.
